POEM TAGS:

Short form poems, sentiments, and observations on tags. These curious tags may be integrated into your life as plainly as the branded tags on the interior of your garments. Creating a moment of pause, perhaps mischief, they may be sewed to the exterior of garments as well, such as the butt pocket on your jeans. Sock charm? Bra philosopher? Ornaments for your animal companion's collar? You decide the integration.

POEM TAGS:

Secure poetry into the daily routine. They exist in a form that was previously determined only for fashion brands and mass enterprises, they are a sort of dissonant question mark, that have the potential to offer a surprising variety of personal and public effects. Tags are fabricated in Oregon.

POEM TAGS:

Dedicated to my Grandpa Sol’s tailoring services he did while captive in concentration camps. He carefully sewed very small, hidden pockets into coat lapels to secure priceless heirlooms on the bodies of those held captive, heirlooms that would otherwise be stolen. As a tailor, his skills afforded him to survive the Holocaust through offering Nazis sewing labor in exchange for crusts of bread he would give his cousin. I like to imagine that he would've liked to sew messages to his family or others in his vicinity, as communication or encouragement for survival. When the war was over, he continued to sew hidden pockets for travelers and went on to open a tailoring shop in Wisconsin.
Sew them in a collar
Glue them to a dollar
Pin them on a quilt
Tuck them in your kilt
Use them as a bookmark
Diffuse them in the bathroom
Plug them into your console
Give one to a friend
Watch it blow in the wind
